In both of the fables, characters use special qualities to solve a problem. The problem in “The Tortoise and the Hare,” was that Hare keeps stealing water from the well. The problom is solved by, Tortise promising he would never steel again. In the fable “The Lion and the Mouse, the problem is that Lion was caught in a hunting net. The problem was solved by mouse chewing threw the net to free the lion.
